The American Nurses Foundation is dedicated to transforming the nation’s health through the power of nursing. We find and fund new ways of solving problems, generating new ideas and tools, and laying the framework to promote a more positive experience for both nurses and patients. However, to do so we need your help.

American Nurses Foundation Thanks Donors and Nurses
: In April 2020 the American Nurses Foundation launched the Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses to support the mental health, financial, educational and advocacy needs of nurses during and after the pandemic. The Foundation thanks the corporations and individuals who donated to the Fund and the nurses who work tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe.

To continue the critical work that we do, we rely on donations. Financial support can come in many forms:

Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses

The human toll of the Coronavirus-19 pandemic is felt throughout the nation and most acutely by the nation's largest body of health care professionals - nurses. To share your thanks and support for nurses on the frontlines, you can make a donation to the American Nurses Foundation Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses.

Donate your vehicle

Even that old automobile you never quite got around to selling can be turned into a means of supporting the 4 million registered nurses in the U.S. – and a handy tax break for yourself. We have teamed up with CARS to offer a free, convenient service for converting that extra car, truck, or RV into a tax-deductible donation benefiting the Foundation.

Peer-to-Peer Fundraising

Peer-to-peer fundraising is a method of charitable fundraising that involves individuals organizing personal campaigns to collect donations from their peers. These fundraisers can include asking for donations via crowdfunding, throwing occasion-specific fundraisers (like birthdays, memorial tributes, or in honor of National Nurses Month) or participating in events like 'fun runs'.

American Nurses Foundation is happy to share its first Peer-to-Peer fundraising toolkit for supporters and donors to engage with. The toolkit provides step-by-step guides on how to create your own campaign across several platforms including Network For Good and Facebook. We encourage you to download the toolkit below and explore the possibilities of peer-to-peer fundraising within your own network!
