ISO Journey at ANCC

ANCC Earns Prestigious International Certification for Operational Excellence

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association (ANA), became ISO 9001 certified in December 2007. ISO 9001 certification signifies that an organization has met the international standard for a quality management system to consistently provide products and services and demonstrate continuous improvement.

In November 2022, ANCC reached another major ISO milestone by becoming the only nursing credentialing organization to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification. ISO 9001:2015 certification recognizes ANCC as an organization that provides the highest level of service and quality both in the U.S. and globally.

ISO as a Value to ANCC

The benefits of ANCC achieving ISO 9001:2015 include better-defined processes that lead to operational efficiency and improved customer satisfaction. Being certified as ISO 9001:2015 heightens ANCC’s reputation and recognition in the market. In the international community, an ISO registered organization demonstrates a strong quality culture of ownership, accountability, and overall improved performance.

What Is ISO 9001?

ISO is the world's largest standards developing organization and is located in Geneva, Switzerland. ISO is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies of 162 countries with over 20,000 international standards. ISO international standards help companies to access new markets, level the playing field for developing countries and facilitate free and fair global trade.

All of ANCC's credentialing programs are now ISO certified. Our Quality Policy Is:
