American Nurses Credentialing Center Board of Directors Announces Commissioner Appointments

SILVER SPRING, MD—The Nominations Committee of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board of Directors has approved the following appointments and reappointments to its Commissions. All terms, except the Emerging Leaders, will run from January 1, 2021 until December 31, 2024. The two-year Emerging Leader terms will begin January 1, 2021 and end on December 31, 2022.

Commission on Accreditation in Nursing Continuing Professional Development (COA-NCPD)

  • Anthony Angelow, PhD, APN, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC, CEN, FAEN, FANNP, representing the constituency of APRN and a Content Expert in Nursing Continuing Professional Development and Joint Accreditation, for an initial four-year term of service.
  • Lindsey Cardwell, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, representing the constituency of Emerging Leader in Nursing Continuing Professional Development and Joint Accreditation, for an initial two-year term of service.
  • Judith Cullinane, PhD, MSN, RN, CAGS, CCRN-K, representing the constituency of Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), for an initial term of service beginning January 1, 2021 and ending December 31, 2024.
  • Dana Dinsmore, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, NEA-BC, CRRN, representing the constituency of Emerging Leader in Nursing Continuing Professional Development and Joint Accreditation, for an initial two-year term of service.
  • Sasha Dubois, MSN, RN, representing the constituency of a Healthcare Organization, foran initial four-year term of service.
  • Liz McClure, DNP, MS, RN-BC, representing the constituency of a Healthcare Organization, for an initial four-year term of service.
  • Cali Morrison, Ed.D, M.Ed, BA, Certified Professional Coach, representing the constituency of Public Member/Non-Nurse, for an initial four-year term of service.

Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs (COA-PTP)

  • Dawna L. Cato, PhD, MS.Ned., BSN, RN, NPD-BC, representing the Foreign Residence and/or International Experience constituency, for a second four-year term of service.
  • Michael Le, BSN, RN, PHN, representing the constituency of Emerging Leader from a RN Residency Seat, for an initial two-year term of service.
  • Corinne Lee, DNP, RN, ACNS-BC, NPD-BC, representing the constituency of RN Fellowship Program Director from an Accredited Program, for an initial four-year term of service.
  • Heather Meissen, MSN, ACNP, CCRN, FCCM, FAANP, representing the constituency of APRN Program Director from an Accredited Program, for an initial four-year term of service.
  • Kate Spencer, MSN, RN representing the constituency of Non-Acute Care Program Director from an Accredited Program, for an initial four-year term of service.
  • Amber Thomassen, APRN-BC, representing the constituency of Emerging Leader from an APRN Fellowship Accredited Program, for an initial two-year term of service.

Commission on Magnet® (COM)

  • Sharon Pappas, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, representing the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), for a second four-year term of service.
  • Nicholas Snow, DNP, MS, BSN, RNC, representing the constituency of Clinical Nurse, for a second four-year term of service.

Commission on Pathway to Excellence® (COPE)

  • Francine Douce, RN, RM, BN, MACN, FACM, representing the International constituency for a second four-year term of service.
  • Karen White-Trevino, DNP, RN, NE-BC, ACHE, Caritas Coach, representing the constituency of Academic/Education, for an initial four-year term of service.
